of Southeast Missouri
The mission of Love INC is to mobilize local churches to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ.
Our vision is of a unified Christian church, reaching across denominational lines to show Christ's love in a practical way to people in need. Love INC works to coordinate both individuals and church ministries, matching clients in need with the Christians who can help.
Love INC operates a clearinghouse center where trained volunteers take client calls, verify the information that is provided, then find specific ways to help. We always receive a wide variety of requests. Some have been quite small, things like clothing for job interviews or hot meals after a hospital stay.
There have also been some larger requests: an automobile repair that allowed a single mom to keep her job and construction of a wheelchair ramp that restored a level of independence to a disabled woman that she hadn't experienced in years. Whatever the need, Love INC works to find ways that Christians can reach out in love to provide assistance.
Love INC doesn't ask people to do great big things for God. Instead we merely ask Christians to live out who we say we are, using the gifts and abilities that God has given us to help others, and asking God to bless our acts of service in a great big way.

Love In the Name of Christ is a national organization that began over 30 years ago in Michigan. There are currently over 165 affiliates in 30 states.
The current Board of Directors of Love INC of Southeast Missouri was developed in November 2006 and began working earnestly towards opening the Love INC Clearinghouse. Eva Hillis, Executive Director, was hired in July 2007. Volunteers began taking client phone calls on January 7, 2008. In July, 2011, Love INC purchased its first permanent home, a four room office in Cape Girardeau.
Who does Love INC serve?
Love INC of Southeast Missouri strives to meet the physical and spiritual needs of individuals and families who are unable to make ends meet due to situational difficulties. Additional Love INC ministries include offering support to children in crisis situations and building wheelchair ramps for individuals with limited mobility.
Where does Love INC serve?
Love INC of Southeast Missouri currently serves people living in the Cape Girardeau and Jackson areas. In the future we hope to expand operations to include all of Cape Girardeau County and northern Scott County.
How does Love INC receive funding?
Love INC is funded through the generous donations of supporting churches and individuals. We are a registered 501(c)3 non-profit corporation and all gifts are tax deductible.
How can I help?
Additional volunteers are always invited to see how they can join Love INC in reaching out with the love of Christ, whether it is through simple acts of personal service or by utilizing their professional skills and knowledge.
